Very sad that he has passed, a legendary presence we're not likely to see again. Him and Vincent Price will always be my favorite actors.

It's very rare you have someone that played badass characters like Dracula and Saruman, only to find out that this was a step down for them from the awesomeness of being themselves.

So for your services to cinema, your services to metal (seriously, check it out) and most importantly your services to our country you will be missed Sir Christopher "That's not the sound someone makes when you stab them in the back" Lee.

    *salutes*

I read somewhere that Christopher Lee met Tolkien, and that he received Tolkien's blessing to play Gandalf if a movie ever released.

He was also in the SAS. Man is/was? a legend.

    RIP.

“When I was shooting the stabbing shot with Christopher, as a director would, I was explaining to him what he should do… And he says, ‘Peter, have you ever heard the sound a man makes when he’s stabbed in the back?’ And I said, 'Um, no.’ And he says 'Well, I have, and I know what to do.’”

The man was truly a bad ass. RIP.
