Unholy BoS opener

The standard BoS opener takes about 6-7 secs on pull. But my guild doesn't want to delay the ring on pull. Is there another way to open with BoS because wasting a third of the ring duration is kind of a big deal.

Just gets bos up a global earlier to take advantage of ring a bit better

I was actually just thinking. army 6 secs pre pull. go in FS and then straight up use BoS and vial. And then just do the normal SS-FS-SS-PL-PS-SS*4 and then ERW. Throw in ams somewhere in there depends on the boss. Haven't tested it yet so dunno if it works or not.

using that kind of opener is a lot easier with arcane torrent, not sure how it would go without it

I tried it on reaver. it was fine with hero. dunno if its like zakuun and tyrant when you don't hero on pull

Was thinking of being a turn coat and going Belf for racials.

On a Goblin, the belt racials are still 2 min CD. Has it changed for Belf or is this a tooltip issue?

You shouldn't have to use that opener on Iron Reaver as you can open directly with BoS.

You can soak prepull on the cannons from hellfire assault, when you walk close to them they do fire dmg since they are burning.

Do you get AMS back during your BoS if you do that? Cuz ams soaking barrage or fire stacks extend BoS by quite a bit.

Getting the RP on the pull from the cannons is way more important, otherwise you are missing on ring etc, by the time you AMS soak the ring is pretty much gone already.

semi-necro, but you can do both.
AMS soak cannons 30 seconds before pull, use DnD at 89 RP, wait for pulltimer. Use army approx 6 seconds before pull, insta-breath then ams soak first barrage.

You can soak twice in a row. It allows you to start with 100 rp and no CD on AMS.

Checked it, Arcane Torrent is definitely 1.5 minute cooldown.

Engage Boss, Pull Army, spam Icy Touch, use Empower Rune weapon. Reset Boss.

Start Pulltimer, 5sec before pull use Army, Gargoyle + Outbreak on Pull. Pop all CDs + Breath, start spamming Festering and Scourge Strike without capping RP.

Now you just have to convince your Raidlead to reset the boss every time before the real encounter starts. Honestiyl, if you have 2 or more DKs in your Raid, this is definitely the best way to do it, because you'll probably have a 25sec pulltimer anyway for Affliction Warlocks.
