    Palmyra liberated by Syrian Army

No surprise this gets less mentioned in Western media as Syrian government is seen as an evil entity. The ancient city of Palmyra has been liberated by the Syrian army backed by Russian air strikes from ISIL, this is another victory which is paving the way to the total inhalation of the terrorist organization, I guess after the job is done in Iraq (Mosul is currently under siege by the Iraqi army) and Syria the march should continue on Libya where the terrorist group is holding vast lands, and which my country here is concerned about. Saudi and Qatari backed terrorist groups should be exterminated very soon if EU-US decide so.

'Tagesschau' published an article saying despite the setbacks ISIS suffered the past days they are still a threat. And also a very critical piece on wether or not the killings of high ranking ISIS members is very effective.

Same, the news outlets which I use have it as their top stories. From the coverage I have seen, it is being treated as a big deal.

It was in my newspaper here in Belgium, and it's a welcome development. Assad's government is still pretty damn evil despite that. Etc.

CNN, Fox News and the Wall Street Journal have it as a top story, New York Times, LA Times, USA Today and Washington Post have it as one of their top world news stories. And MSNBC has pictures of Bernie Sanders.

I Googled which were the top US news agencies and they were the ones that came up, so where are you looking?

As we all know Western coverage of the Syrian civil war was 100% accurate and unbiased. The super nice civilian rebels that we armed totally didn't start a huge terrorist organization that ran amok in the middle east and abroad.

    There is a Syria policy.

    Saudis don't like Baathist.
    Assad is a Baathist.
US Must make sure Assad is taken out so Saudis are happy.

It's modern armor vrs sand people living in ruins... hardly a challenge. ISIL is no trouble for the Syrian Army.

This was only done to show Assad's resistance to the West, that should be obvious to anyone with a brain.
