Youkai Watch is more popular in Japan then Pokemon although hasn't transitioned as well to other parts of the world.

Level 5 who makes Youkai Watch their CEO is a huge FFXIV fan and friends with people from the development team.

I meant more it's a weird crossover in terms of game visuals. But then, goobues, carbuncle, and moogles on weapons are similar thematically. And I kinda dig my future fox tail knives.

It's a bit jarring, honestly. I didn't mind this sort of thing being limited to something like the Hildibrand quests because then it was effectively 'contained'. Though with this sort of thing becoming more common...I don't know how I feel about it, really.

It's kind of hypocritical given that they made a big fuss about not wanting to add a motorcycle mount because it 'didn't fit'.

Well, they also said the motorcycle didn't feel right. It felt too slow going mount speed, but they didn't want it uniquely going faster.

I don't think this makes it too common. It's similar to the Mogweapons in a sense and it's a limited time event crossover.

I don't think this makes it too common. It's similar to the Mogweapons in a sense and it's a limited time event crossover.

You both realize that they were messing with us about the motorcycle. They were teasing it and its likely planned to come out for the FFXV collab event when that comes out (or FFVII remake)

I assume it would be the VII remake, if they actually do put it in. If they still feel it doesn't feel right speed-wise, they may opt to not put it in. Or they'll use it for a Gold Saucer game or something.

......honestly a Gold Saucer game emulating VII's motorcycle chase sequence would be fine by me.

Never heard of Yokai Watch until today. Not a huge fan of the weapon aesthetics, but that's what glamour prisms are for.

Too bad having things like this will cost us a raid tier...oh wait.

Was bound to happen. One of their Japanese livestream was essentially "Go buy Youkai watch it's so awesome" at one point when they were just talking about random shit.

Loving the pets (mostly Mannjimutt, Blizzaria, and Usapyon) and I really like the mnk, drg, mch, and blm weapons. I will probably even get the smn in case I level one up later.

Mount is funny as well.
