"Nobody knew health care could be so complicated"

    http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/27/politi...ted/index.html

Washington (CNN) - President Donald Trump noted with some exasperation Monday the complexity of the nation's health laws, which he's vowed to reform as part of a bid to scrap Obamacare.

"We have come up with a solution that's really, really I think very good," Trump said at a meeting of the nation's governors at the White House.
"Now, I have to tell you, it's an unbelievably complex subject," he added. "Nobody knew health care could be so complicated."

Trump was speaking as Republicans on Capitol Hill continue to work toward developing a plan to replace the Affordable Care Act, the Obama-era law which they argue is too costly and complicated. Trump has not yet gotten behind a GOP replacement measure, however, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan were hoping to convince Trump to support it during a meeting later Monday.

Trump is also expected to touch on health care during his first address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday evening.

During a meeting with health insurers, Trump said a replacement plan would be unveiled soon.

"We have a plan that I think is going to be fantastic. It's going to be released fairly soon," Trump said Monday. "I think it's going to be something special ... I think you're going to like what you hear."

But he told the CEOs that if the plan doesn't accomplish his goals, they'd face his ire.
"If things don't work out I'm blaming you anyway," he said.
    WHO WON TRUMP BINGO!?

And the dumber keep getting dumber. Cheeto is just such a complete moron - I still do not understand the perspective of anyone who continues to back him at this point. How could anyone NOT understand that healthcare is complicated.

I really like it when people are honest.

It is better to be honest and then improve upon that instead of lying, pretending to know what you are doing and then mess it up by your own incompetence.

Isn't the complexity part of the problem? The current healthcare system in the US is an administrative disaster. Just getting information about what a plan covers is difficult at best, impossible at worst. You literally can't call your health insurance provider and ask "How much will this procedure cost?" They don't even know. So you just have to sign a blank check and hope it doesn't bankrupt you if you have a serious medical situation.

So yeah, it's fucking complicated, but it doesn't have to be.

My opinion on the matter of health care reform being complicated? I would say that everyone who knew anything about healthcare had come to that conclusion long ago. It basically falls under the "no duh" category.

Unless I'm misunderstanding your question (and it's all I can do not to insult Cheeto).

So this added to what ... ?

OT, The ACA was our first attempt. The first one is always trial and error, I dont think abandoning ObamaCare is needed, it just needs some corrections.

It is exceedingly complicated. It is over 20,000 pages long. "With many more to come"
    Or 11,588,000 words...

I don't think this is a comment of ignorance, but one of ... "WHY is healthcare so complicated" (i.e. it's more complicated than it should be, and it is.)

"Nobody knew ____________" is also a colloquialism ...

But you'll find any reason to hate on the man. (Love Trumps Hate ... unless it's our hate for Trump, which is good hate .... wait what?)

Would be easy, if you dont have to ask. whatever it costs is your provider's problem.

This added to the trove of proof that the U.S. president is an idiot. That he's basically clueless. A monkey with a gun.

I agree, the ACA was our first real attempt.

My opinion would be that it's pretty straightforward; you just look at all the other countries around the world that provide full coverage healthcare for half (or less) of the GDP levels that the US spends. Then you do what they do, halve the cost of healthcare for your country and give everyone the healthcare they need.

But I guarantee you that Trump won't be doing that. What comes out of this will be something that makes more money for his friends, and by some means for himself as well. I fully expect a chain of Trump hospitals covering the country by the end of this term.

The only thing "complicated" about his solution is ensuring that he gets paid without it being so obvious that it could lead to his impeachment.

Notice that CNN stated he later added the "nobody knew....". That was part of another sentence. More likely than not that sentence was taken out of context and then placed beside the other just to give the other a little more merit. He did not state those two sentences in a row. CNN manipulated the way he stated what he said about ACA.
Now, I don't know what he stated exactly. But, more likely than not CNN is making more of it than it should be. We can't trust MSM 100%. They don't serve our interests. They only serve theirs.

That's great and all, but it also makes the assumption that they are WILLING to learn and improve.

The first step is always to admit your mistake.

If you start on a lie you have already lost.
