What spec will you play in 7.2?

It seems like a lot of the more hardcore warlock streamers are switching from affliction to destro or demo, and for good reason considering the garbage they keep piling on Affliction in the ptr.

What spec will you be playing? I'll stick with affliction anyway unless another spec is significantly dominating in raids.

I love how affliction plays right now, but it does seem like demo is stronger in many ways. I might try to switch, but not yet sure how. I tried it for a day, but I can't get used to how demo plays, mainly because I have no idea what I'm doing or should do..

I tend to think there will be more class changes yet and therefore it is too early to decide.

However, it is likely that I will be playing two specs (I don't think I will be able to keep 3 optimal with the new arty levels coming along). The first spec being the one that "should" have the highest output on the majority of bosses. The second spec being the one that is the best at target switching/bursting adds. So quite likely it will be something with Destro.

Yeah I think it's to early to tell, I think the best way to prepare would be to have 2 useable legendarys for each spec and 54/54/54.
Aff is going to be very DS dependent, which feels like DE 2.0, which they want to revamp with 7.2.5...
Destro maybe is going to get embers back in 7.2.5, which is nice also.
Demo.. well Demo is pretty much a ST turret already with heavy movement punishment if you don't combine it with tapping.

Tbh, I would love to be able to switch to whichever spec I want to play at that moment without an automatic dps punishment because I dont have the legendarys or traits...
I mean, cmon, let me play my class and not only one spec at full potential without suicidal grinding...

fuck it. Im tired of switching and if my guild doesnt want to take me when were pushing mythic again then so be it. I started with demo but only enough to drop enough AP to get to the talent just before the 20 pt talent. Then i switched to destro for EN cause it was doing better. I have 8/20 on that one. Nighthold came out and i grinded the hell out of that weapon to catch up and im at 16/20 on it right now.

Im done switching. Ill just play Aff unless its just a complete bottom of the barrel spec.

This has been the biggest grip of mine this Xpac. How come other classes can manage to stick with one spec the whole time but two raids in and ive already had to play 3 to stay competitive? It never used to be a big deal and was often fun but i hate having to try and keep leveling these weapons. Now they are adding even more talents which will only make it worse even with the AK boost to 50.

I use destro for botanist and elisande and aff for everything else. My demo is nowhere near ready and i dont plan on it being ready.

Aff Lock or HDH. I have put thought into playing a Frost Mage or a MM Hunter.

You dont demo much do you? Demo is great on multi target for sustained dps as well as single. Its toolkit for AE isnt as solid as Aff but nothing to sneeze at either. The only locks that bitch about movement are the ones that think they have to run 20 steps when it only takes 2 to move out of something. Its a great spec and very competitive.

Planning on doing a demo/destro, as I am doing right now as well. Aff is fun, but just dull compared to the two other specs, at least for me. Plus the t20 bonuses for destro and demo look fun.

Affliction gets the best new traits, and will be the best all around spec

I haven't been given a reason to switch away from destruction yet, so I will likely continue to play it. I expect a large tuning pass for 7.2.5 to go along with the raid, so we'll see if / when that happens and what that does.

I'm going to stick with Demonology because it's the only one this expansion that does not feel like a chore to play.

I can't imagine anything will be better than Destruction in 7.2. The hardest content in the game always features adds. Demonology and Affliction are just garbage at target switching (can be great at council fights though), while Destruction is often incredible on fights that involve priority adds.

...And if Affliction is also good, I'll probably keep that artifact at the same level as my Destruction one.

It will be destro. Blizz will make the least played spec the best warlock spec so those aff rerollers and some demo players will switch specs = more grind = profits for Blizz.

Well I Killed Star augur as destro and we had no problems. Most ToS fights look very good for destro with wh, looks like the go to spec for progression.

I've played Destro since launch, got bunch of legendaries, I'm gonna stick with my green fires, thank you very much. Affli? Nope - it's boring and it doesn't suit me. Demo - really cool, but I can't mantain the good rotation so I screw it up too much, so I'll stick with something I know and make good DPS with.
