Whats the point of Astral Healing Potion?

I don't get why Astral Healing Potion is so expensive to make, rank 3 is gated behind a reputation grind that takes ~2 months to get and on top of that warlock healthstones restore more HP and they are free if you have a warlock.

Astral Healing Potion should provide a flat % HP heal, like 30% while warlock one is 25%. (effect reduced above 110lvl)

Not every group will have reliable access to a warlock?
I don't know the recipe for success, but I know that the recipe for failure is trying to please everyone.

    Forum stupidity at its finest:

You answered your own question. Not every raid, dungeon or hell even solo play has a Warlock to give you Healthstones. It'd be nice if they were hp% based but eh.

When has anyone raiding besides a tank used Health Potions, since way back in the days?

Since they have not shared a cooldown with damaging potions which i think came in wod from first aid.

I haven't tested, but I've been told they do share.

Since a patch ago when healthstones were shit.

Unless i'm mistaken the health pots are better for classes that have high crit (since they can crit) and if they have low hp (non fury warriors mostly)

Because for the very first time in the history of WoW, Blizzard actually made Healthstones better than their crafted variant. Just as Heroism/Bloodlust has always been better than drums. Only took them 11 years

They don't. If you're not using healthstones or health potions, you're doing it wrong.

But yes, the rep gate for rank 3 of the new hp pots is pretty stupid. The only justification I can think of for is the fact that most raiding alchemists will have the rep by the time the next raid comes out.

If you're an alchemist tank using the trinket, the potions are useful. I macro mine to "oh shit" buttons.

"I Am Vengeance. I Am The Night. I Am Felfáádaern!"

Because healing potions have always been superior to Healthstones for non-warlocks since they made healing potions on a separate cooldown in WoD.

You will and have ALWAYS used a healing potion over a healthstone for raiding/dungeons if you care about your own/guilds success in this expansion.

Wtf. Thanks for the tip. I will test it out. So it heals for more than healthstones, but the two share cooldown, right?

It heals more if you're alchemist wearing alchemist trinket, and even then, if you're tank w/ 10m+ HP healthstone will heal more.

Yup. If it saves your ass in a mythic raid, do it.
True, but the difference is that in GTA3 you're only shooting (and robbing, murdering, having sex with, etc) pixels. In WOW you get the pleasure of dealing with some of the most despicable human behaviour you'll ever witness.

Soo in other words you have no idea WTF you're talking about, despite the fact that you tried to make your first post sound like you did... Why bother?

This is a prime example of why you should always take advice you read on anonymous forums with a large grain of salt.

Because they used healthstones, still do, and they still share the same cooldown with healing potion. Nigger.

Every raiding tank has far more than that, so a healthstone is way better than the highest tier healing potion.
