    Tree of Life, ideas for enhanced spells effects?

    Tree of Life will be changed (as we all know), and some spells will have an enhanced effect. I thought that it could be fun to share ideas about what these effects could be. These are the original ideas so far:

    Lifebloom: Applies an additional application
    Wild Growth: Affects an additional 2 targets
    Regrowth: Instant cast
    Entangling Roots: Instant cast, damage increased by 200%
    Thorns: (not revealed yet)
    Wrath: Cast time reduced by 50%, damage increased by 30%


    So what do you feel about these current enhancements, and do you perhaps have some suggestions?

    LB is sort of confusing but I guess it just kind of saves you a GCD. I think it should just do all three rather than 2.
    WG is fine.
    RG is amazing.

    The other will be good for pvp and certain fights, but I'm interested to see what thorns is going to be.

    ToL will be a cool, nice CD, but to make it really worth it I think they may need to add something else. If they take out the 50% movement reduction like they said that's a good start. But with mana being such a problem spending mana on a CD to use it on those specific spells I think it may need a "mana reduction to all spells while you are in it" sort of thing too.

    I agree the LB effect is pretty lack luster. Not useless but still not to awesome.

    Reducing mana costs would be really sweet. I believe all the best healer cooldowns return mana somehow either through reduced costs or like innervate. The only real problem though is Druid already have innervate. I don't want to be having to blow the cooldown on cooldown just because otherwise I may risk going oom.

    @Mahon Possibly something like - "The mana cost of *instant cast spell(s)* is reduced by 50%"?

    @LB - Hrmmmm. Possibly something like - "Also applies a (single) stack on a nearby target"? Hrm. That sounds kinda wonky. But i love spells with splash effects. >_>'

    In Cataclysm Lifebloom is only usable on 1 target at a time, so I'm afraid your suggestion is very unlikely to be implemented.

    I'd be quite happy with 3 stacks at once. Or perhaps something along the lines of "Casting Mark of the Wild on a target affected by Lifeblooms now forces your Lifebloom to bloom."

    I think that Tree of Life should be more fun to use, and a lot more situational instead of just some boring enhanced effects and passive healing bonus. Therefor I reduced the duration aswell as the cooldown, so that it's stronger for shorter durations, but more often. In addition, I think that the enhanced effects should be something "feelable", so therefor I made Efflorescence proc on all critt effects, so that raid members will feel a difference aswell.

    I believe that the Efflorescence change will make raid healing fun and different in Tree of Life form, and Healing Touch's refresh system will make it nice for tank healing aswell.

    Tree of Life (4 min cooldown)
    Shapeshift into the tree of life, increasing healing done by 15%, increasing your armor contribution by 150% and make Efflorescence affect all spell criticals. In addition, some of your spells are temporarly enhanced while shapeshifted. Lasts 30 sec.

    Enhanced spells: Wild Growth, Regrowth, Healing Touch, Entangling Roots, Thorns, Wrath

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Regrowth: Instant cast.
    Healing Touch: Refreshes all healing over time effects on the healed target.
    Wild Growth: Instantly heals for 20% of it's total periodic heal.

    Tree of life - Shapeshift into the tree of life, increasing healing done by 15% and increasing your armor by 120%. In addition, some of your spells are temporarly enhanced and when you use spells with cast time the Effloresence also sprout from you with 15 yard radius around you and heal everyone who stand on it for 50% of the heal you use, while shapeshifted. Lasts 45 sec.

    Enchance spells:

    Swiftmend - reduce the cooldown of your swiftmend by 5 sec and now instead of consuming rejuvanation it also transfer your rejuvanation to 1 additional player within 15 yards, prioratize the most injure players.

    Nourish - Reduse the cast time by 1.5 sec and now heals for an addional 20% for every extra hot on the target.

    Regrowth - Eflloresence now have 100% proc and heal for 100% of regrowth over 7 secs(or instant)

    Also im thinking for extra unique abilities only in this form (like metamorfosis charge..etc)
    ex. Ancient protectors of life - Force your lifebloom to bloom and per each stack of lifebloom you summon ancient protectors(maximum 3 protectors) that protects your target for the next attacks(maximum 3 next attacks). Each protector sacrifice his life to block 50% damage of the incoming attack of your target. When one of your protectors die, return one stack of lifebloom back to your target. While your protectors are alive you cant use lifebloom. 20 secs cd.

    Thats my ideas for now

    What about this for Thorns:

    Your Thorns spell also causes all enemies to Bleed for 30% of any melee damage dealt to you over 6 seconds while the effect is active.

    So basically, you pop tree form. You pop thorns. Dudes start trying to chop you down with an axe. Every time they deal damage they get a physical debuff dealing 30% of that hits damage over 6 seconds, but here is the catch. The effect would roll, like ignite or deep wounds or unholy blight. So the longer they are meleeing you in tree form the more and more this bleed will hurt them.

    Kind of like eye for an eye but stronger, on cooldown, and for melee effects. It also makes sense. Imagine tearing through a bunch of thorny brambles. The more you thrash around, the more cuts and scrapes you will get, and the longer you thrash around, the more cuts and scrapes you will get.

    I honestly never really understood the point of the new cd. People always complain about not being able to do anything but heal in tree form, but now with the cd they are letting us do damage in tree form. So what was the point really of taking away tree form?

    Knowing Blizzard though the enchanced effects from the cd will either be really op or really up at first. I could see them doing something maybe like having rejuv hit multiple people at once or having the entire healing from wild growth be instant. Maybe it would it would keep the cd or it maybe not. I would imagine it would be one or the other and then be changed depending on if its to powerful or not. I'm thinking maybe they would also extend some hots so maybe the duration would as much as double or go 1.5x as long.

    The instant regrowth is quite nice, tho a bit mana expensive. It's pretty much the only reason I pop treeform atm. Would be nice to have a mana cost reduction attached to this.

    The LB one is kinda useless atm, since lifebloom can be on only 1 target, and generally when you pop treeform you already have a 3-stack rolling on the tank (not to mention that it doesn't even work atm on beta, still applies only 1 stack in treeform). I guess if you could make it apply 3 stacks you could do some interesting bloom action.

    WG one is useless for 5mans (since there's only 5 targets there anyway). But it'll be nice for raids I expect.

    Instant cast roots already gets covered by the glyph. Would be more interesting to allow 2 or 3 roots to be up at the same time.
