6th Anniversary Achievment Confirm November Release?

Has anybody else noticed that in the last beta build they added the "6th Anniversary" feat of strength? Does this confirm a release in November since the anniversary is in November?

Seeing as this achievement is on the beta not the PTR.

The anniversary FoS is simply stating that you logged in on or shortly after the anniversary of the release of the original.
It proves nothing about the release of an expansion, only that you logged in on any given character within a 1 week period.

Probably since the achievement need to be available on live servers to get it, so the patch must be out. So yes.

You guys are completely missing his point. If the achievement is on beta and not live or PTR it's a decent notification of when the expansion will be released, unless it's a mistake that it's not on the PTR. There's no confirmation that it's not on live or the PTR, but he's making a valid point.

The beta build on the front page hasn't been activated on neither the beta nor the PTR yet, as mentioned by Boub. And since the last beta and PTR patches coincided with the same class changes etc. it would be logical to assume that the FoS in question will hit the PTR when it hits the beta as well.

Well they might add it to beta since

1. it should be available for beta testers to?
2. if you did logg on during the event you have the FoS and it would be strange if it wasn't in the cata game files?
3. out of ideas but in my opinion it don't prove anything

It would be logical if you didn't use so many negatives. I believe it does confirm a November release date. OP is not saying that, because it's a FoS that it will come out in November. He is saying, because it is on the Beta patch notes then it is something that will tag along with the release of Cata. If the FoS, for example, were to be on the PTR patch notes it would mean nothing, but since it is on the *Cataclysm Patch Notes* then it does confirm a November release date (or earlier crosses fingers).

The only thing it could really confirm is that patch 4.0.X will be out by late November. Which I am pretty everyone assumed as a foregone conclusion anyway. Neither of the two previous pre-expansion patches were on the PTR for more than 4-6 weeks.

Why would they add a feat of strength to the beta build? Either way it doesn't confirm OR deny when beta will be over, but there's no reason at all for them to add it to beta if beta is out after the anniversary.

No, toons don't copy over their achievements, they've done it with this method for a while to prevent unnecessary data being on the PTR and beta.

No, toons don't copy over their achievements, they've done it with this method for a while to prevent unnecessary data being on the PTR and beta.

FoS might be, but nothing else should be. The only exception is mounts obtained via achievements will have their achievements, but as far as I know they stopped copying over the majority of achievements a long time ago because they're not necessary on PTR or beta. They don't even copy over the majority of titles as far as I know as well.

right but its a FoS there would be an error if the FoS was not in the beta files, the toon would say you have it but the server wouldnt know what it is, error, and crash. thats why they would add it.

I see what you're saying, but I also don't foresee that being an issue as to why you couldn't play a character. I would hope that it just ignores the fact that the FoS is not available and not cause any issue rather than them needing to add all feats to the beta/PTR. Can't know for sure obviously.
