Cata cinematic gave the impression that Azeroth is empty

Is it just me or did the cata cinematic give the impression that there's hardly anyone around in Azeroth? In all the different locations we don't see a single person. Granted some are them are zoomed out landscapes or only tops of buildings but they could have at least had some nelfs at auberdine and some guards at that tower in the barrens or around the valley of heroes...

Yea they are supposed to be all collected in the cities because of the invasions and elemental attacks, outside is the last place they want to be.

Well I dunno about the rest of society but if the land felt like it was ripping itself apart I would be in Dalaran.

It is no longer connected to the ground and is essentially a floating turret with 300+ mages acting as the firepower
In fact they shut down the portal room to keep the refugee's out because they don't want to end up like shattrath with sickness and poverty everywhere.

You see a dragon that is the size of a keep, covered in armour, with flames pouring out of it, coming over the horizon, do you A) stay outdoors, in as plain a view as possible, pointing toward the sky and scream as it soars overhead? or b) get to cover as quickly as possible as quietly as possible so as to not draw it's attention.

Pretty sure any animator working on a scene like this will tell you that it's the little details that make the piece, atleast that is what I find where I work.

I think you would like too much from game rated Teen. Sure, it would have been really neet if we saw Deathwing scorching, smashing, ripping and striking down Azerothians with his godlike chin but then it would have to been AO.
