Bring back Illidan!!!

My favorite warcraft hero in the whole universe and the TBC expansion barely did anything with him. I mean come on, he's the most coolese/badass hero ever! =P

He's the most boring, bland, baseless, banal hero ever.

His motives are boring. "Wahhh I want power."
His character is boring. "Wahhh everybody likes Malfurion more."
His whole reason for being a villain at all was just so Blizzard could bring back a character from Warcraft 3 and focus an expansion on a singular character that wasn't a major Burning Legion villain, who they want to use later.

His whole involvement in Warcraft 3 was just an irritation and an inconvenience to the characters that mattered.

He's a bad, bland, boring character who's dead and should *stay* that way. Nothing about him is good or interesting or worthy of any more involvement than he has already had. The fact that Metzen said he'd love to do a redemption story greatly worries me.

It's just one of those unfortunate things that we can't really fix. Like Rag, it was far to early for us to be killing off Illidan. With phasing and cutscenes and everything that we have now, re-telling the Illidan story would be awesome, but ultimately, a "jumping the shark" moment.

Let it rest, and hope Blizz does cool things with the universe that we haven't seen yet.

Illidan was a great character in WC3. but in the Frozen Throne expansion he somehow changed from the fearless demon hunter into a meek and emo pawn of the... demons. why? because he was scared of a big bad demon who couldn't even physically manifest on the world Illidan was currently on and thus couldn't actually do him any harm
Illidan promptly qualified for a darwin award by leaving said safe planet and running away to one where Kil'Jaeden could manifest
while the Illidan we saw in WoW wasn't quite as bad as Frozen Throne Illidan, he was nowhere near the badass we saw in WC3

Illidan isnt what he used to be... the Devo team killed him as they made him go insane after his defeat to Arthas, believing he defeated Arthas on that day. I just hope Sylvanas can keep her claws away from his dead body.

TBC killed my two favorite WC3 characters... I never liked that expansion. Though in the warcraft universe, at least its' possible to resurrect someone, so I'm hoping for his returnal, as not evil against us. Hence, the last "bad" thing Illidan did before he returned to Outland was an attempt to destroy the frozen throne together with the Lich King, and what did we just spend an entire expansion doing? I can't believe we sided with that stupid Miev instead of Illidan... Also Kael'thas should have been the Blood Elf leader. :< The only reason the Blood Elves joined the horde was so that they could get help reaching Kael in outland...
