No Rift's Appearing?

Hi guys, I'm having a problem with the rifts, I am at the right place at the right time but there is no rift for me to kill (no, no elementals either) So I was wondering if from any type only one spawns, like 1 water in all of Northrend, or do they spawn at all locations?
And how long do they last? like 5 minutes?

They last 15 minutes from what I understand, however I don't believe they spawn a specific time each hour

Thanks for the link, I found it before, but didn't quite got the info I needed. ( Respawn times were in there though)

Do they spawn all over the continent? Or only 1 per continent?

All over, i even managed to get all types in one spawn time once ;p

They spawn all over the continent. I don't know if they all spawn at a universal time though. When I did the achievement the first day, it seemed that every rift in Northrend spawned at the exact same time (about 10 past the hour) as I manged to kill the one in Zul'Drak, fly to Dragonblight for air, and then fly to Borean for that one.

They have 45minute- 1h re-spawn time after either being closed or de-spawning.
