As a vanilla player I agree, anyone who doesn't is looking at the past through a fog of fond memories, I love the changes and with Cataclysm it looks to be only getting better.

Agree. Ulduar was awesome, ICC was awesome, Lich King heroic was awesome.

Agree, I started playing it during BC but didnt start actaully PLAYING until WotLK. And its simply because I liked it more then BC.

    This.

I have really good memories from vanilla but that's it, the game has changed and probably for the best, TLK had its cons (more than one year of ICC, last months were actually quite boring) but overall, it was a pretty good expansion, liked it better than TBC.

    Fo Sho!

I vote yes on the WotLK!!! I have played since vanilla, and I cannot believe how smooth most of it ended up being. Sure there were some aspects that could have been different (my biggest beef is that CrystalSong Forest was hardly used for anything more than filler quests) but for the most part I say HELLZ YEAH BLIZZ, Thanks for the Expansion, I look forward to the next

I agree to disagree. Did I play through the whole expansion? Yes. Did I feel like cutting my wrists the last few months? Yes. I can basically say that in Vanilla, I was either raiding or farming money for repairs and/or gear/enchants. BC, I was questing in zones, raiding, running heroics or leveling a single alt. Wrath, I was raiding, only running heroics on fresh 80's, and leveling a ton of alts( 7 alts to 80's ). Given the increase to XP and BOA gear did make it a exciting new adventure to level and increase the productivity, but as of late I find that this expansion had more people sitting around in Dalaran then actually out doing anything. But that could just be my server.

    **edit**

So what I am trying to say by this post is that this expansion although it changed a lot of things for the good, and I respect that, I did get bored. Once I killed LK the only thing I could say is "well I wanna do HM now.." and once we did that it just got blah and before that it was getting Blah.

HAHAHA! Quite funny... LK was the Beginning of the End. I think Casualclysm could be the final end for wow.

More pros than cons, but some of the cons were so annoying and painful that they shone brighter than the pros.
Example: dumbification (is it a word?) of people through literally faceroll WotLK heroics after a few tiers. Hopefully it will get fixed in Cata when bosses will start to hit for a % of a player's HP, not a fixed amount ofdamage.

The expansion introduced a vast number of game mechanics that we now take for granted, and most people who hated wotlk fail to remember that we never had any of those things before.
LFG, dual spec, extendible lockouts, hard modes, warlock summoning stones, PHASING , mounted combat, glyphs, 2 new battlegrounds, boss by boss lockouts, turtle mounts, multi-passenger mounts...

I know theres more, can anyone else think of some?

im a casual and i even think its gotten too simple. shouldn't be able to get any tier gear whatsoever without stepping into one raid. : / sorry

I agree as well, although not for the expansion as a whole. More so I agree because it taught Blizzard a lesson in developping as well as giving us some (SOME) good content, mainly ulduar and ICC (for a while)

    ...and it's only getting better

Ulduar was the only good raid this expansion, the rest were all pretty terrible. Lots of good ease of access tools implemented, though.. so it was alright.

As a loyal player of WoW for over six years (I also played the open Vanilla beta for a long while), I must say I can't blame WotLK for anything. Maybe a tad too easy for my taste, but then again, meh. I can't say "ZOMFG TIHS R SUX" to it.

imo, which wont matter at all, i voted "disagree" for a number of reasons. mainly that it "turned" the vast majority of the playerbase that started DURING wrath into demanding QQ'ers who think it is their right to be catered to at every turn. i know there are players who didnt fall under wrath's spell, but it sure seems hard to come by.

I get kinda annoyed how other people who played through vanilla say wrath was aweful. It wasn't, it was easy but alot better than classic Grinding rep for argent dawn to get into Naxx raids? That's not "Hard-core" as it is not hard, it's boring and pointless. Bravo Blizz

Agreed. stop calling things so much harder in vanilla compared to wotlk or bc. bosses for example: If you got a group with people that know the mechanics of the fight its not hard that only thing i can think of as harder is getting 40 instead of 25 "smart" players.

In before a huge wall of hate posts.... Things I enjoyed about WOW:
    -Ease of leveling
-How easy it is to make gold, through either dailies, or ah
-ICC was a good finishing raid (I don't count RS)
-Ulduar was pretty sweet, at least what I got to see during progression
