New Possible Troll Raid?

i was just thinking, that wasn't there too much hype around those two remade instances, with their trailer and all.
and whats with Hakkar in the end of it? if he is just in ZG to be "eaten" by Jindo, i dont see why he should have that dramatic scene in the end.

my guess is that the Zandalari, and the king of the zandalari Rasthakan (spelling?), may be up to something, and they're just using ZG and ZA to try and fight for them, to eliminate the worst enemies.

what do you think?

i still wish they would bring in a Zul'drak raid. Sure it's a tad late BUT I CAN DREAM DAMNIT!!!!!

OT: I hardly doubt there will be one. It certainly is setting up the possibility of one because of the story in ZG/STV, but realistically, i just really do not see it happening, mainly because there is no real evidence for it (You could try and use the examples you brought up, but i'm not really buying it).

I've got it. The Zandalari, after their vicious defeat at the hands of the heroes of the Horde and Alliance, decide to pursue an alliance with the Drakkari ice trolls in the frigid depths of Northrend. After reaching a deal with Frost King Malakk, Rastakahn, FKM, and the Drakkari and Zandalar both begin to take over Northrend. They could like, do similar daily phasing techniques lke what they're doing with the Firelands.

I don't know, i just feel like the whole Zul'drak area was wasted. it was easily my favorite area in WoTLK, and even though it's a lower leveling zone, i see now reason why it would be too outlandish for Blizzard to develop a raid instance in older areas (Especially since Northrend is still on Azeroth, something that wasn't possibly during WoTLK, as they had Outlands, thus no real plot ties to go back.) I would just adore for this to happen. Just. adore. so. much.

Blizzard's hinted that Kul Tiras will be a zone that's patched in at some point in Cataclysm. If Kul Tiras and presumably Kezan are game for patches, then it's a safe bet that Zandalar Island will be as well. That would be the perfect place for both an expanding quest hub like Firelands has, as well as a troll raid that culminates in the end of the Rise of the Zandalari storyline - it's the center of the troll civilization and the seat of power for the Zandalari. If they're going to be enemies, it makes sense to fight them there.

Frankly, it's a shame they couldn't include it in patch 4.2. A 4-5 boss troll raid would have made a great complement to Firelands, especially in light of the fact that the previous patch introduced the storyline. Apparently we'll have a wait a few patches for the story to continue. I suppose they couldn't have fit in two major raid-related quest hubs, but it's still unfortunate. Maybe we'll see it in 4.3 as a raid that offers Firelands-level items and content.

I would love nothing more than a new troll raid. Vanilla was great, it had a troll raid. Burning Crusade was great, it had a troll raid. WotLK was lackluster, it did not have a troll raid. Let us hold hands and hope blizzard learns from their mistake and gives us a troll raid

I think there will be a troll raid. But not a big raid the size of BWD or Firelands. More likely a raid as large Tot4W or BoT (with less trash to make the raid smaller).

But we will have to see as there is so much promised to us (War of the Ancients, Kezan, Kul Tiras, Deathwing raid) and there still is a possibilty that Deathwing isnt going to be the final boss of Cataclysm.

EDIT: Besides, the trailer of 4.1 still hints at a possible revamp of Zul'Farrak and Zul'Drak as lvl 85 5man Heroics.

I don't really think they will re-vamp those dungeons. I think it was merely just explaining what had happened to the tribes in both of those places.

doubt it, they were giving "hints" about azjol-nerub too. even though i think the main plot of the zandalari is retardely poor, i would be very happy to get a new troll raid with new awesome troll gear

Seeing people with ZA/ZG style shoulders again just makes me happy. Troll gear is the best kind of gear.

Likely.

They said at Blizzcon that they learned they needed to bring something for everyone in a content patch. So a Raid, Dailies, and maybe a Heroic.

The quests/5-mans address the issue of ZG and ZA, but not of the Zandalari. Since I don't think the events in ZG/ZA will cause the Zandalari to back off, I have to think that at some point it will be addressed, be it in a raid, new 5-man, or even questing zone.
