Just to nick pick a bit, Bonkura, but Soulshifter Vortex is not so bad for a warrior tank considering they get Crit Block past 102.4%.



Anywho, here's my armory. Everyone can improve a little, even if it is a bit more health or something. Curious as to get a few other opinions.

Well, only thing that anybody can pick on is trinkets from DS. Have you tried sweet talking to DS before you enter ?
Now go in there, sweet talk to the bosses during your stay there, get those trinkets and get to 8/8 HC :-)

10/10 on your char btw (even if it's a female Draenei, hehe)

When I was on the alliance side (shameful days yea), I had to pick dwarf as my paladin race. Good racial and it looks so cool to see that tiny dwarf tank big bosses, hehe

Looks desent, just a quick question. Without the dodge procs you have, you are under CTC. How do you cover CTC in the start of a fight ? You can be unlucky and don't mitigate any of the damage the bosses deal out.... Once your trinket are doing it's thing, you should be fine if you can keep it at 100% uptime. Personally, I don't like the risk you are taking there, but I don't raid these days myself (only to help out in alt runs max 2 times each month) so the math behind it can fool me.
If you are progress on heroic DS, I have seen a lot of tanks change their talents around to gain more dps (Hallowed Ground and Reckonning talent points). You thought about trying the same yourself ?

My damage is pretty fine tbh, i can easily do 17-18k dps, and i can easily maintain the dodge proc at the start of the fight it just takes about 10 secs to have the trinket at max stacks so i don't think it's necessary to hit CTC cap without the dodge proc, anyways i'm going to think about those talent changes

Pull 2 points out of Hallowed Ground and one out of Reckoning. Put them in Rule of Law in the Retribution tree. Glyph of HotR either indicates that you swap glyphs for AoE fights (good) or use HotR for single target (BAD).

I didn't really find anything worth mentioning (I'm assuming your Parry and Dodge will even out buffed). I wouldn't use Landslide or Glyph of WoG, but that's more of a personal preference. 10/10.

Now I'd like to point out that my CTC is exactly at 102.4% ub.

Awesome getting your CTC exactly 102.4 unbuffed. Mine's 102.42 unbuffed. I'm assuming with the fully stacked resolve your dodge is closer to parry otherwise fix that. Otherwise, 10/10.

Atm on pvp retry spec, will try to change it asap to prot gear and such. Im at 102.4 while raid buffed. After that i reforged for hit+exp, so i could pull some more dps, since its quite needed in my guild. I flask for stamina and eat for hit.

Since i started doing that we progressed from 1/8 hc to 4/8 hc in two weeks. Of course, i know that by doing that i strain healers way more than if i went for stamina, but while healers are pro in my guild... lets say that dps are not that much :P.

This strategy worked for me. Opinions?

I'm a first time poster and rater so my apologies if I say something that's "noobish."

I guess I'm what's considered a ctc tank and in my opinion, I can't really argue with your stats! You've got about 95%+ in terms of avoidance and the extra 30k health overall helps a bit. In my opinion, I like to look at tanking as a science. If you cut out the random variable of that 5% chance to take 100k+ damage, you effectively make healers' job less of an RNG scenario with yourself. My healers know that everytime I'm getting hit by a melee hit and I have a debuff, it will hit me for either 0 damage (dodge parry) or X amount of damage (due to the block). The 30k health doesn't seem to counter any of the hits considering I block for roughly 45k+ damage in almost every fight. Your guild is around what my guild is at, in terms of progression and you managed to use the name "Bryce" which is a feat in itself. Overall, I'd have to give you a 9/10 (strictly based on the armory :P)! Now, if I got you into a dragon soul raid and saw you tank..THEN I could judge effectively :P.

Besides the ring of the kirin tor (I assume that isn't the "error"), I guess what, you're gemming pure mastery still?

Drop those points out of imp hoj and 1/2 reckoning (the increase going from 1/2 to 2/2 is around 1%, so not great at all) into Rule of law and (presumably) pursuit of justice. Drop hallowed ground whilst you're at it, that's a freaking terrible talent too.

Glyphs are fine, although I tend to glyph WoG rather than HotR, not that it matters much.

You could make those mastery gems into stamina gems by reforging the avoidance stats rather than the +threat stats. More avoidance (especially a whopping 4% at best) isn't really worth the loss in stamina, outside MAYBE spine heroic, tanking bloods. You outgear me, so you should have more health than that.

can't spot anything wrong there, glyphs are fine to matching the spec u used. try changing the dps ring you have in the long run (might be cause of the mastery it has) and your missing two tinkers ^^

From what I see, you just need the general gear, get your dodge up some more to be closer to your parry and your good. Change your glyphs also.
