Because, even if they say "We broke the game, we dont know when servers will be up" People will complain and be like "WTF Give us an estimate blizzard!".
Even when they give us an estimate people complain "Wahh, why isnt the game up, you said!"
Long story short, Blizz can never win.

For those unfamiliar with somebody "Accidentally the whole thing"ing, what it means is that they took the whole thing and accidentally it. Not just part of it, but all of it.
Generally this might include dropping on the floor or spilling coffee on it, but it may go so far as to include running it over with a stampeding pack of buffalo.
