My hunter generally raids BM unless its a notably unfriendly fight for that spec. On Baleroc I can easily match a similarly geared Marks hunter and have significantly outdps'd another who was playing Surv.

BM is amazing on fights where the pet can focus on one thing and that thing is always within its reach. Sadly a number of raid encounters this expansion don't fall under that category.

Bugged pet. Easy to tell something is up when BM doesn't DPS with Cunnng pets ever as Ferocity are 1.5k DPS higher. There's a Silithid pet striking with a drastically reduced swing timer.

Edit: I just checked out his pet like the op suggested, and BM's pets are about 40% of their overall damage... his was 75%-ish

Clearly his pets damage has been doubled in the log for some reason, which distorts his overall value. Just another bugged log. Move along people.

He's using a Cunning pet which is a drastic DPS loss for BM.

There's wayyyyyy too many melee swings registered on them as well. One parse using the Silithid had around 600 auto attacks in a 4:35 minute window. If the combat log was messing up and doubling, Kill Commands would have been greatly inflated as well and not just melee auto attacks.

Notice all of the "top logs" and "bugged" results on WoL are using a Silithid. I even saw someone mention something about a bugged silithid on the WoW forums the other night, but they obviously couldn't give specific information on it on the boards without getting banned. There's definitely something going on regarding the Silithid, much how the Plaguehounds had the poison cloud last tier.

Only BM can use it though.

Talked to a GM today. They confirmed that there's an exploited Silithid being used in those logs, the dev team is aware, that it will be fixed, and action will be taken against those found using the exploit.

The double damage done by the pet is part of the exploit. The pet attacks 150% faster and deals 100% more damage.

Vem from AQ40 I bet. I'm guessing they're using the method people use to keep special pet looks, have someone kill it just as the tame spell finishes, or something. Or maybe it sticks on a regular tame..
