well gamers like being around gamers. in wow you're around a few gamers and a LOT of people who have never read their own tooltips, much less know what is going on.
to have to depend on those types of people in collaborations creates problems
games generally don't try to appeal to everyone

i played wow and gw in 2004. both were tame compared to today
by the end of 2005 both were starting to get that 'degree of separation' in their community that just got worse but gw never got so big it took over like it did in wow
BF3 is the game I'll play first, then some WoW and then Diablo and then GW2.
I can wait ^^
It's a very good tactic. They release information.. Pretty much of it.. Then they have a few key information released left and make people wait and wait for it. When "Mesmer" will be announced people will go crazy and short after they will announce beta.
Blizzard works different. They announce a little. Makes us speculate and discuss theories. How much do we actually know about Mists of Pandaria? Not much.
Mif, I might be joining you and your brothers in world domination. uh..
I'll share my recipes with you!

I'm not looking for a stick of charcoal on legs. More along the lines of scar patterns some games alow but burnt patches instead. If its all a uniform dark color it looks like that was natural not a plant guy with an unhealthy fascination with fire. Think overall greenish sylvarie but part of the right side of his head looks slightly withered and chared as well as maybe part of an arm.

Probably helps that you can get banned (I think...I totally remember seeing somewhere you can) for if you use any channel but trade for trade. Though I can understand why trade chat in wow is used as the server wide chat room. Why can't they just also add in a Server Channel or something?
There were global chanles at one time, particularly LFG was joinable anywhere anytime and it was prety bad. Imagine trade chat during one of the infantile "Anal [Link]" contests and take it an order of magnitude further and you've got a good idea of what went on. you were lucky if 1 post in 20 had anything to do with LFG. The more global and free to join the chanle is the more retards join in and start makeing a mess of the place. Short of parking a GM on every server to moniter the mess it was nearly impossible to police.
