I did a search and didnt see this posted anywhere so I thought I'd share it for everyone's amusement.
I cant believe that peta is this desperate for attention imo.

This graph sums up many of the reasons why I severely dislike peta. They spend more money promoting themselves than actually helping animals, and kill thousands yearly instead of supporting no-kill shelters and adoption programs.

They did the same thing for Super Meat boy. This is why so few people take them seriously (and the fact that they euthanize animals despite being against it, but their hypocrisy is a whole other can of worms).

Honestly, I NEVER once saw the Tanooki suit from SMB3 as anything other than a suit with ears and a tail when I was a kid. I didn't even know it was a real freaking animal (Maybe a raccoon but whatever). It never crossed my child mind that the game was promoting or endorsing cruelty to animals in any way shape or form, or made any other kind of political statements. People really just need to chill the hell out and stop taking everything so seriously. I get that there are definitely certain things that are intentionally offensive, but WAY too many people get offended by things that are so inconsequential. It's just silly.

I think to everyone not involved in the organization, they're a big running joke. They've got a valid point (even if I don't agree with it....) made insane by fanaticism.

I don't think I really have to read the article to know it is yet another case of PETA putting animal rights head of humans. Earlier I was reading something about them complaining about the killing of a rat in BF3, a game which they are quite happy to let the player kill tons of other virtual humans it seems.

If they actually ever had a valid arguement then perhaps I would listen to them, but instead they say things that are not only completely incorrect but offensive to boot:

Feeding children meat, something that has been a staple of humans worldwide for millenia is akin to child abuse...

Just to be clear people are entitled to their own views. When it comes to animal rights there a lot of horrible things done to animals and those are the things all animal rights organisations should be focusing on. For instance:
Countries where monkies are served as a delacy and killed in front of the people about to eat it.
Countries that will skin animals alive and/or carve meat from them as if they are a loaf of bread
Any sort of animal fighting for sport such as: cock fighting or dog fighting

People should worry about actual issues before trying to sensationalise less important issues based on pure nonsense.
