One of the ugliest priestset ever..But free Deathwind LFR epic.
Thats good, any guilds that actively cheated to try and effectively steal a march on progression should miss a raiding lockout to give genuine guilds a chance at the World 1sts. Kudos Blizzard (if indeed they go through with it)

Very well said, no-one outside of the 0.01% of players who cheated really cares. We just /point and /laugh and the fools who did!

ROFL, you broke THEIR rules, and you think a lawyer will go against that just because you can't take your punishment like a man and not exploit (cheat) in a game for +12? If you've exploited, you'll get banned...tough luck, try using skills instead of bugs next time you want to progress kk?
I am very satisfied to see that up to 8 day bans are handed out. This shows the community that when a rule is broken badly, it don´t really matther if you have a large name to hide behind... I still wish to see a Blizzard confirmation if this is true though :P
Banning people because Blizzard can't get their programming right. Dumbest thing I've heard since the new Darkmoon Faire. Spending precious development time on something people can only do once a month, that was fucking brilliant. If the glitch was a big deal 1) THEY SHOULD HAVE HOT FIXED IT OR SHUT IT DOWN 2) take the items away, but ban people because they fucked up???? Really? Sounds like a lot of people will be getting refunds to me and probably canceling subs. Makes me SUPER suspicious about D3 if they pull shit like this, how can you expect them to handle money?
Go wiki - Exploit_(computer_security)
Bugs and glitches happen - taking advantages of said bugs is the definition of an exploit... If you have an issue with their coding - do better - The biggest companies in the world still have loopholes and bugs in their software, when you find a way around the limits and abuse it, expect to be dealt with... the guilds that pushed this expected just that and they aren't whining about it.
Sacrifea : I really hope you're not a lawyer, your English is horrible.
On-topic:
The guilds that exploited knew very well that this was one of the possible scenario's but they decided to do it anyways. If I was raiding with a top guild, I would have reported the issue, waited 24 hours and see what happened. That still would have given me enough time to exploit if Blizzard didn't fix the issue.
The blame is NOT on Blizzard (I really want it to be, but it isn't). The LFR rules were clearly stated before and finding a bug to go around that rule is bug abuse and exploiting. The top guilds knew in advance that this could get them a ban, but due to the pressure of the race (and being impatient imo) they decided to go on. The 8 day ban symbolizes one week of progress which will hurt them a lot in the race. It will definitely affect the world ranking. But I hope they will still do their best to compete.
Lesson learned, I'd say !
well this tier's world first race no longer means anything.
Note that basically its not the guilds in the prog race complaining. They knew action would be taken eventually but couldnt lose on a prog edge. Blizz merely caught on quickly this time.
If only this would have happened with Atramedes, but this is a good sign that Blizzard still cares about fair play and cheating. To all those that fail the concept of the EULA (arguiing on the internet... good luck to me), you are RENTING some space on Blizzard's servers, so even if you are a paying customer, if you break the renter rules, you are kicked out, period.
On one hand... HA HA, they got their gear taken away!On the other hand, I'd be lying if I said I didn't abuse the !@#$ out of the massive honor buff they gave TB while it was up, so perhaps I don't have a lot of room to judge.
Sure it does mean something. It means the people who will win actually can do it without exploiting if they can manage it.Exploiters got punished and its perfectly nice to see all the people complaining about this. Your cheating you get punished. You knew how it should work and you found a way to work around it and dumb enough to use it.
Still not sure if serious...
Ofcourse they are gonna reimburse his account, if they made a mistake and banned someone for the wrong reasons they will ofcourse correct it, if not they loose a good customer for no reason at all.
My point is that everything related to World of warcraft is blizzards property, we are simply renting the service.
So I think you should go sober up, cause your coming off as an idiot.
just read paragons statement on the matter trying to justify their actions.cheating is cheating they got what they deserved welldone blizzard for banning all the cheaters not just paragon should make for an interesting world firsts race
Yes it does, every single guild who's competing for world first will have done this and received bans. Now it's time to see if these players have a second account to play on. The world first will just be one week later than usual, but it will still be the same names up top. Unless my guild who, ranking around 200 (last I saw) in the world who completed Heroic Rag about 2 months after world first will suddenly jump the gun and kill it while the other guilds are on their ban.
