It seems that Bioware/Origin will start selling SWTOR Security keys (authenticators) soon. Check this page:

Currently it looks like they are only sold in US but they will come to Europe and iPhone/Android soon.

If you get a security key tied to your account you will also get access to a unique vendor that sells gear and items.
