Weekend queues are horrible

Number 518 when I started a half hour ago, in the 400s now. Of the 27 servers listed on my screen (there are more, but too scroll down the list I would have to leave the queue) 17 have queues.

Estimated wait time 35 mins? What are they using microsoft time?

Am level 30 and in a guild I like, so I don't want to reroll on an "almost full" server.

Just want to say this blows.

It's something of a pain yes, but it's also quite normal for a new mmo to have long queues. Especially if it is popular. I prefer it to the alternative though which would be to create so many servers that none/very few have queues and than see at least some of them become a barren wasteland once the first hype of release dies down.

518 is not horrible at all. I constantly engage queues up to 1600 on my server. Thats a 3h+ wait.

Don't. Even. My new gaming rig randomly freezes and while I wait to get some help with it I wait an hour in the queue, enjoy maybe 15 minutes of SWTOR, and then crash....back into another hour queue.

SO FREAKING ANNOYING.

Get one quest done and then back into queue for an hour. Meanwhile people I was 10 levels ahead of are now a level ahead of me in guild.

Yeah my WoW guild set up shop on a early server, but it's full 99% of the time. So i am playing on a medium pop server until the queue dies down. I'll be damned if i am going to waste my time sitting in a queue.

What Teriz said, there are forced server caps in place for now until the actual launch date. They are trying to create an environment without too many low pop or dead servers. And kinda be happy that the game is popular cause if it wasn't it would be a very short life cycle.

I also think they have the server caps set much lower than they could be and that might be raised eventually as well. It's a lot better than having in-game lag and unstable servers!

Its hard for me to get a lot of nonstop gaming time in without having some other obligation that pulls me away from it. There have been a few occasions where I queue...wait a long time...and then have to leave before my queue is up. Oh well, its well worth it once I do get in.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. Currently sitting in a 1100 queue which I can't say I like too much, but I don't want the place to be a ghost town so its better to tough it out till server caps go up.

Actually thats normal, when you have 2-3 mln preorders, you have same EGA people. And all of them want to play at once.

But i really was like "OMG" when saw queues on most servers, when i entered my LOW POP server on Thursday and there were lot of them, and on friday evening "WHOA" hello queues on 8 servers of 10 =)) hello people, the game is great.

And also don't complain on support. EA can't hire 1 game master for 1 player.))
