either Algalon or Kil'Jaeden. Algalon, imo, is the most visually stunning encounter in the game and the lore behind it and sense of urgency blow it up even more. Kil'Jaeden is epic because it's also visually exciting, complex fight mechanics, and the rp that happens over the duration of the fight. and the ending scene with velen cleansing the sunwell is epic as well.

not to say that i'm an rp person, because I'm not, but I do like to feel that what I'm doing matters to some extent.

5. Hakkar - First end-boss for me, so makes it that much more epic :P,
5.1 Majordomo - Not because it was hard, but because it was the first raid boss I tanked on my warrior alt(In full blue gear :P, lacked tanks that night), and killed as a guild first.
5.2 Hogger - The sheer amount of skill required to beat this fight, makes me so happy I'm one of the many people that have wiped on this boss.

Have we all forgot Muru?

To me, epic is something acquired by the overall feel of the encounter regardless of ease or difficulty. In that sense even then incredibly underdone normal mode madness of Deathwing is 'epic'. Grinding against a pre-nerf muru fighting against RNG and overtuning is not epic in my mind.

She wasn't the hardest boss I've done nor did she take the most attempts, but the feeling of finally beating Lady Vashj the first time we killed her is completely unrivaled. Definitely my proudest raiding moment.

It was also a fight I really enjoyed, unlike Kael in TK who was just obnoxious with his 4958745 phases and thirty minute intro RP.

I remember being incredibly anxious the first time we pulled The Lich King. The fight just has a great atmosphere and feel to it.

Algalon was pretty epic.

As well as Heroic Ragnaros. Hard hard and pretty damn epic fight.
