Need to chose between these two PCs.

Hey there, I currently have a choice to pick between these two PCs. I'm bit of a noob when it comes to hardware and would like some feedback given both prices are pretty much the same price.

I mainly plan on using it for gaming and modeling in maya. Any suggestions on how to make my choice would be greatly appreciated.

1st, no contest. 2nd if you do a ton of modeling

Definitely go with the first one. The bulldozer CPUs have been quite terrible, from what I have seen. If you use Maya a lot, I would consider upgrading the CPU to 2600k for 55 GBP more. They will help with the rendering time. Gaming wise, the 2500k generally does better, but the 2600k will do better when it comes to those heavy CPU intensive applications (like Maya).

First computer. It may be worth upgrading to the 2600k if you have the money.

Then again it would be alot cheaper to build the PC yourself. Just depends if you feel comfortable building it yourself.
