I absolutely adored the Norn armors in GW1. The moment i realized i can play a norn in GW2, i was so happy, finally being able to look as aswesome as the norn ingame!

I think it was confirmed that it will be available through the Karma vendors. You can do a couple of Dynamic events and earn enough Karma for a stone.
That way you really won't need to pay real money for gear customization.

That is definitely a badass armor set! The more i see of GW2 the ore and more I want to check it out come release!

I will probably use a combanation of these two armor sets and the daggers from the second picture or the ones that Ghostrider posted.
1st: Helm, shoulders, gloves.
2nd: Chest, pants, boots.

Yeah, they will be able to wear other gear. The leaf armor is their race specific gear which only they can wear.

You will be able to get these transmute stones in game from karma vendors, though they only work some levels. There will be transmute stones for like, level 10 - 30, 30 - 50, 50 - 70, 70 - 80, or something similar.
