She has an unfair advantage, though. She's an asari. They DESIGNED asari to be attractive. Like, that was their intention for them from the start!

Yeah I found that out quite a long time ago but I was still pretty surprised, considering they sound almost nothing alike to me. Probably the difference in attitude between the characters (Lightning being aloof and standoffish while Liara is very caring and timid... at least her voice sounds that way >.>)

Most asari seem to... lose their attractiveness when they hit the matriarch stage. Aethyta, Benezia... only exception I saw in the series was Samara.
