I wish I could OC my 590 but my Power supply + Drivers won't let that happen.
    Playing since 2007.

Thanks, it was late, math and I weren't getting along. The reason I put 1.171 for voltage is because that is what was being displayed on the monitor, even though it was set for 1.174. Regardless, thanks for the corrections.

Is that a stock GPU with stock volt(? maybe it's slightly less), 66degree and 982MHz, damn. Was that max temp. measuring while you ran both tests? I could probably push my ASUS 6850 to 960MHz but I would have to bump the voltage by a bit and it wouldn't be worth the extra cost, granted for a benchmark only I guess it's fine.

  5. #105
Yep, that's actually my normal speed I run at too, I have the fan set up so that when the temp is at 68 its running at 58%. And its stock gpu, cooler and voltage, bought the thing the first month of the 6870 being released, I feel I got a rather good chip

Don't know if you go back and look at edited posts DeltrusDisc, so I figured I'd also make a new post.

Did a little more OCing tonight, and came up with this.

It's an awesome card. I would highly recommend the Gigabyte SOC to anyone who's looking for a new card. Sure, it's a $50 premium over the cheapest of the 570's, however that additional reliability, overclock-ability and cooling seals the deal for me. Some of the guys over at Overclock.net struggle to hit 850 with their cards without going close to 1.1v, where the SOC does 845/1900 at 0.95v with ease. As you can see from the screenshot with MSI AB, benching at that overclock the card does not go over 68c, and even with the fan getting up there in speed it's not that loud. It's still hidden under my 166 cfm 200mm exhaust fans. I'd get a second one, however since this card @845 plays BF3 ultra 1080p 65-80 FPS, it's not needed. I haven't checked performance yet @950, but I can imagine that I don't have to run that overclock at all.

Edit: I can do 950 @ 1.05v, however that's with the memory clock down at 4000Mhz. Boosting it to the 4450 shown was a few FPS increase, with very small temp increases, so I figured might as well do that.

My card can do 915 core, 4660 mem, 1.1v at the very most Temps aren't even close to a problem for me.

I think Evga needs to be a bit more picky about the chips they put in their Classified cards.

Yeah if you update your OC, please just make a new post as I will not be going back and checking every post for edits.

Updating for 3 more MHz on the core and 226MHz more memory clock?

    I should make a minimum limit. ._.

    That you should

Though it did get me 31 points higher in the Heaven benchmark scoring 1401.

Alright. One last one. Unless somehow I'm able to get to 1 ghz on this card, I probably won't updated again. Sorry there DeltrusDisc, I should've just waited until I found my maximum overclock to update last time, but since this is the second highest overclock I've seen with this card, I thought that I would post one last time. According to what's in the OCN.net thread we have going, this should put me in second place.

Meh, I still think I could pull 1.050GHz off with slightly more volts and lower memory clock. Temps were awesome but unigine heaven refused to start :< Needs more tweaking!

    Updated.

Gah this thread is worse than the CPU thread! Fewer participants and more updates. >_<

Haha, my bad! You know how competitive benchmarking can be for some people, lol.

You'll see me in the CPU thread here soon enough after my new parts get here. For some reason my cpu won't OC past 4.0, so until I get new ram and a cooler I won't be going much further.

what about splitting off to a dedicated benchmark leader board, that way people can post CPU clocks in the CPU thread, GPU clocks in the GPU thread, and annoy the crap out of deltrus with 15 posts an hour showing updated and new benchmark results in the benchmark thread

Er, basically any 2500K can run at 4.4GHz with just changing the multiplier in the BIOS/UEFI. RAm should have nothing to do with it unless you are changing your BCLK (and you shouldn't be doing that.)
