    New crit system in MoP

l spells and abilities will crit for double damage, baseline. There are a few exceptions where crits can get larger, but the default is x 2.0 for everyone.
Is this as dull as I think it is? :z

    How is it dull?...

Less dull than someone critting 150% and others 200%?
I don't see the big difference in experiencing the game with 150% or 200% crit .p...

    can't read properly

--scrap that, I noticed it's for Rogues, not general--

It is in general, Rad. :/

IDK ath, it just seems too predictable.

Something critting for 200% dmg, with the exception of Elementals with 250% and sometimes Fire Mages with 280% is a "system"? Its just spells critting.. god, stop trying to discuss every change.

Predictable, but not different from now other than different values .p?

I understand what you're saying, but i don't get how it makes it any less boring than it is already :P

The big difference is that poisons will now use melee crit rates

    And melee hit rates.

I have now like ~6-8%, maybe max 10% crit with poisons so I like this change.

"Hey that dude just critted me for 150%!! Trololol!?"

There's not much left anyway that can crit for less than 200%..

Critting for 200% damage is no more dull than critting for 150% damage...

This is what I found to be the most interesting for rogues. With poisons now being on the melee hit table as well as being able to crit, it seems like we'll see changes to how far we reforge into hit.

Yes. I think it is 7.5% hit to be melee and spell hit capped.

It is less than we need now, but it is still a fair bit on hit rating to pick up given that we are losing Precision.

I assume all Rogue will get this much and no more. It is then a case of choosing which secondary stats come after this.

"crit to not be terrible for A and C"

    Sounds ok to me?

Is that important at all in mop though? If you look at the changes to hit and expertise for mop in that blue post, theres basically no difference except the last 7.5% technically negates dodge for melee where for spells it is still called a miss.

I read that part afterwards but yes, you're right.

200% damage poison crits is another tool bliz is using to reduce rogue's passive white damage. and 7.5% miss will probably only be for single weapons. dual wielding has to have some sort of penalty like it does on live. but who knows, they could be changing much more than i'm expecting

I assumed their discussion was for specials as they compared it to spell hit and also to the current yellow hit + exp soft cap. Also, I believe the talk has always been about passive damage, not specifically passive white damage, and poisons are still passive damage.
