Never a good sign when you get a character thrown in as a bonus. I have the same feeling like when Aion started pump in "advantages" into cash shop. Brrr.... Chilly in my spine.
This horrible game could offer me a year of free play time, all the mounts in game, and 85 of every class with full up to date raid and pvp gear, an unlimited amount of gold and I still wouldn't come back.Wow = Dead*L2TORHai2ufrands
"Remember the good old days from WoW? I do, so it's time to skip all that crap and head straight into Cataclysm, then continue to sit in SW until a queue pops." Yeah alright, it's not I was going anywhere anyway when leveling an alt.
yur gayme iz dead sirs.panda panda lol
I dont know what to make of this...Its obviously a brilliant deal for those who have quit, free cata upgrade and server transfers is awesome but it all just seems really desperate on Blizzards part :P
I like this a lot. Leveling is the most boring part of any mmo.

wow, that's smart
How is it dead? They have millions of subscribers.
For everyone here bitching up a storm; who here "learned" their class leveling to 80? I sure as fuck didn't, and I'm guessing neither did you.
Still not available in poland damn you blizz.
This is soooooo nice
Thinking about it, it's not a bad move. Since it REQUIRES that your friend has already played WoW and stopped playing at any moment, there will be no "HURRDURR BUT I AM SPECIAL" players, only people who may need a small update to get competitive again. Sure it's an incentive to return to the game (targeted to people who has left before cata, people who left because of it won't return anyway).
whats next Epic gear from Blizzard Store?
While it's a nice thing for Blizzard to do it really doesn't speak well for the game. This basically Blizzard saying : "Hey, we know the 1-80 content sucks and is just something you want to go through asap, so here take this level 80 character ans skip all that revamping we were hyping up before Cata".
I hate to say this because I really love this company and I have always welcomed every single one of their changes, but at this point it seems Blizzard just isn't having fun with the game. If you don't like your own work, how do you want players to like it ? You know, I'd like to say that I want them to stop for a moment and really fix what they think is wrong with the game but then I remember the backlash they would get for any tiny little change, it's really not an easy task. I feel WoW has grew into a living being on its own, Blizzard have seemingly lost any control over it. Not to Activision or any shareholder, oh no ... they've simply lost it to the community. When you start making your game based on statistical data and not on what you think would be fun and entertaining, it should be a great indicator that you're doing something wrong.
