    [Bio] Capt. Cecilia Cross

New RP character. The idea for her has been rattling around in my brain for a while and I wanted to get it posted on here in case I get the chance to RP her soon. It's still a bit rough though so, as always, feel free add any constructive criticism.

    Name: Cecilia Cross, Capt.
    Age: 30
Race: Human (usually- she is infected with the worgen curse but spends most of her time in human form and still identifies herself as such *cough*denial*cough*)
    Gender: Female
    Class: Rogue

    Languages: Common

    Faction: formerly Gilnean

Personality: Cecilia is a serious, rather uptight person; control freak might not be an exaggeration in her case. She takes her responsibilities, no matter how large or small, very seriously and generally expects others to do the same. She tries to keep a tight reign over her emotions. She is a loyal follower when under the command of another and a stern leader when she is the one in charge. Still, she understands the need for those who haven seen combat to unwind at times, and is not above relaxing with those under her command, feeling that it fosters a stronger sense of unity. She is a level-headed and confident leader who tries to be as fair as possible when dealing with other people. Although she was once a proud nationalist, she now wants nothing to do with Gilneas.

Likes/Dislikes: She likes order in her life, a set routine that she can follow and rely on. Cecilia is a neat and tidy person and any form of disarray is enough to set her on edge. Large amounts of it will send her flying off the handle. Punctuality is important to her and she finds tardiness or laziness to be completely unacceptable. She despises her worgen form for the lack of self-control she feels it displays.

Appearance: Easily her most noticeable feature is the scaring on her face; tooth and claw removed nearly a quarter of it, leaving a mess of angry pink flesh in its place. It starts just below her right cheekbone and extends upward past her hairline and stretches from the bridge of her nose to her temple. She conceals the empty eye socket with a large leather patch, but there is no hiding the rest. As a human, Cecilia is 5’8” and has a rangy build. She has shoulder length black hair she keeps pulled tightly back. Her good eye is greyish blue. She is a fastidious person whose clothes are always neatly pressed, her leather armor oiled, and her weapons shined and sharpened.
As a worgen, her scars are covered in fur and are much harder to notice except for her missing eye. She gains only a few inches of height and stands roughly 6’4” when erect. Her coat and mane are a dark steel grey and her eye remains the same shade of blue.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Cecilia prefers to fight ‘honorably,’ using her wits and speed to stand toe to toe against enemies who are more heavily armed and armored, but also slower and more awkward. She is no fool though, and will still rely on stealth and misdirection whenever it is more tactically sound. Despite looking somewhat lanky, she is stronger and faster than she appears at first glance, especially now as the side effects from the Curse have taken hold. She wields a simple pair of daggers and a set of small but lethal throwing blades.
The loss of her eye hinders her somewhat. Although she has mostly grown accustomed to it, her depth perception has been affected and, as a result, her throwing skills are not what they once were. Perhaps her greatest weakness is that when in combat she is often fighting two battles; one against her foe and another against the transformation into a worgen. She hates shifting and, in spite of the greater strength and speed she could achieve, prefers to fight as a human. She only transforms when she has no other choice or she loses her self-control.

History: Cecilia was practically born standing at attention. She was the only child of two Gilnean officers, veterans of the First War who would later leave her in the care of her aunt when they left to fight in the Second. After the orcs were defeated, she grew up in Gilneas City where her father, who had her late in life, went into semi-retirement at the army recruitment office. There was never any question of what she would do with her life and she enlisted as soon as she came of age, the same as her parents and grandparents had. Perhaps unsurprisingly with her lineage, she did well in the military, working her way up the ranks and eventually getting promoted to Captain during the Northgate rebellion.

A loyal patriot who never thought to question her king’s decision to build the Wall, Cecilia fought against Crawley’s forces. She was put in command of a small special forces unit who primarily did reconnaissance and intelligence gathering on the rebels but was still composed of seasoned fighters. After the rebellion was finally put down, her unit remained intact and was later employed in attempting to track down the feral worgen roaming through the Gilnean wilds.

It was at this time that Cecilia and her team were sent on a simple mission to track the movements of a small pack that turned quickly into a disaster when they stumbled upon a force several times larger than what they had been led to expect. It was a complete slaughter and only she and a handful of her men escaped with their lives, none of them unscathed. Although grievously wounded, she dutifully returned to her superiors and reported what had happened. Though they thanked her for her service, they seemed more intent on hushing the matter up more than anything. Even so, Cecilia was still completely taken off guard when she and her remaining men were taken into custody.

At the time there was still no cure for the worgen curse and, although none of them had transformed yet, they had all been infected and were deemed too dangerous to let live. Before their executions could take place, the Curse overcame them and the last sentient memory Cecilia had was turning on the guards holding her.

Only flashes of memory remain from the time she spent trapped in her worgen form, running wild with the packs of other feral worgen. Eventually she was captured and her mind returned to her by Aranas’ partial cure. Learning of the deaths of both her parents as well as being unable discover the fates of any of her surviving men did nothing to help Cecilia’s mental state. She felt utterly betrayed by the kingdom she had served loyally and it was only in the interest of self-preservation that she finally lent her aid to push back the Forsaken who began their invasion around the same time.

She finally made an effort to let go of the bitterness and resentment she held for her countrymen during the ritual at Tal’doren that allowed her the ability to return to her human form. Still, once Gilneas was evacuated and had rejoined the Alliance, Cecilia completely washed her hands of the kingdom she was once willing to give her life for. Now she wanders the Eastern Kingdoms, putting the only skills she possesses to work as a freelance mercenary, avoiding most other Gilneans like the Plague, and trying desperately to deny the fact that part of her is still a beast.
