    Or, if the filesize is too big in that case, set the background colour to #efeedc and save as JPEG.

    About this... is there any way to change the background of the central part of my stream? The white looks derp, I want it to be some other color.

    I have seen some people make it at least partly transparent.

    The bottom layer in the layers box'll be named the background layer. Delete/hide that. To hide, click the eye beside it.

    Then when you delete parts, you'll see a checkered pattern show though. That part'll be invisible when saved as a PNG24 or GIF.
