    New PC Build

Finally did it...pieced together a new rig that should be here tomorrow:

    i5 3570k processor w/Coolermaster Hyper 212 plus cooler
    ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 mobo
    MSI Twin Frozr 7850 gpu
    8gb Mushkin Blackline DDR3 1600 8-8-8-24 ram
    128bg Adata SX900 SSD
1tb Seagate Barracude Sata 6 64mb cache HD
Antec case w/OCZ Modstream 600w bronze modular PSU
    24" ASUS 2ms backlit monitor
Steelseries Kana mouse and Microsoft Sidewinder Keyboard
    ASUS Xonar soundcard
    Samsung 22x dvd burner
And a few other bits and pieces. Price after rebates $1374. How'd I do?

Very few actually need or benefit from extra sound card nowadays unless you're using $150+ audiophile headphones, and can use the money on better graphics card or HDD or SSD for example.
Never going to log into this garbage forum again as long as calling obvious troll obvious troll is the easiest way to get banned.
    Trolling should be.

You could also save a bit of cash by getting CAS 9 RAM instead of CAS 8.

Your build looks fine, I'd like to know where you get an Asus Xonar SC for $10, nice deal.

I'd go for a more reliable SSD like Crucial m4 or a Samsung 830.

I used to recommend those medium quality PSU's like the OCZ unit in your build but I've seen a few faulty ones and it's not pretty. For a similar price you can get a better quality PSU like this:

    Power Supply: SeaSonic 520W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($69.64 @ Newegg)
    Total: $69.64
(Prices include shipping and discounts when available.)

I'd also recommend a better CPU heat sink for around the same price:

CPU Cooler: Xigmatek GAIA SD1283 56.3 CFM CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ Newegg)
    Total: $29.99
(Prices include shipping and discounts when available.)
