Honestly think the thread title is a quite misleading, "Ten reasons PvE players will love GW2" None of those things listed make me more interested in the game, in fact they remind me that there is no structured raiding which makes me want to play it even less. Just thought I should put that out there, because misleading or poorly worded thread titles bug me.

On a side note, I am going to play GW2 AND WoW. It is possible to enjoy more than 1 game of the same genre, who knew?

i feel any criticism of gw2 (constructive ... or otherwise) just gets shut down cuz people dont want to listen to it. sorta like how a father, who is a motorbike enthusiast, would react if his daughter were to go out with a 16 year old who had a motorbike: stick your head in the sand and pretend the problem doesnt exist

I feel like the real problem is that when anyone objects to something in the game because of their playstyle, GW2 proponents will always argue that there is something wrong with the way that person chooses to play video games.
One game can't be everything to everyone. It's OKAY to play multiple games for multiple reasons.

More than not the people that are against certain things in GW2 don't actually understand why they're there and how the work. Correcting people that get things wrong is tiring, especially when a lot of the facts are easy to access while the game is down.

Its kind of pointless to correct people in these threads though, I feel most people just feign ignorance when most threads are started just to get a response, the problem is when someone tries to explain something I feel like its kind of like you guys are trying to sell the game to these people, which is kinda pointless if someone doesn't like it give up no point in convincing everyone.

First: There's the ignorant, the people who complain about the game without knowing anything about it.
Second: There's the haters, the people who are here explicitly to bash on the game, regardless of what they do know.
Third: There's those who genuinely dislike something about the game, and actually give a valid reason.

The third category is fine, as they actually make an informed decision. The first category at least has the chance of changing their uninformed opinion to an informed opinion. The second category is the worst category, and by far the greatest source of contention

In addition to DrakeWurrum's excellent answer, I have the feeling that these 'x, y, z' are very often absolutely ridiculous claims. Like that guy who was bashing GW2 art quality while never having actually played the game itself. Add to this the very popular 'GW2 has no endgame because there are no raids', 'GW2 has no open PvP because there are no PvP servers' and 'GW2 is P2W'.

Overall, my experience is that the GW2 community on these forums is actually rather constructive when it comes to criticism of the game.

I happen to agree. I wanted to make a character inspired by my miniature schnauzer and there just weren't any good mustache and eyebrow options for it. I was disappointed.

That my friend Is what we call a GW2 fanboy xD, my normal response is, we don't have raids, we have ball shattering 5 mans, but if you want raid and only raids you should look elsewhere.
