Graphics Issues

For quite a while now Ive had some issues with my computer I just cant figure out,
basically If I goto the NVIDIA Control panel and select "Adjust desktop colour settings" and then have "other applications control colour settings" checked everything is unbelievably dark (even with monitor brightness maxxed etc.)
Desktop and games in fullscreen mode are crazy dark, I basically have to check "Use Nvidia settings" adjust the sliders a little and play every game in "Fullscreen Windowed mode" and everything is perfectly fine, but games that dont have the option to switch to windowed or games that force your settings into app controlled are unplayable.
Any Idea`s at all what I can do to fix the issue?

In using win 7 64bit, latest nvidia drivers

Have u turned on full range rgb while the screen doesnt support it?
