When I tried to start the GW2 launcher today I got this error:

I tried rebooting and running the launcher as admin, but none of both worked :S

I saw someone else have a similar problem on a different forum and for them it was AVG blocking the connection

I got that a couple of times and it turned out GW2 wasn't green checked in zonealarm. If a patch changes something significantly enough then I have to re-approve its permissions.
