I don't suppose anyone here has experience with Python, by chance? Like, the program used for... Programming?

We don't get to use C++ until next year, sadly. Stuck with Python. Thankfully, I managed to do this program anyways, so that felt quite good and made me feel smarter. Just 1 more to go.
I think what always boggles my mind the most is when I question how people managed to program python, considering it's a programming tool itself. And then I wonder how the program that lets you do that works, and so on. Though I imagine I'm overcomplicating things.

You mean you don't get to choose? I started programming in 5th grade and some of my classmates already knew quite a bit of C++, so they let us choose between that and Pascal until the end of 8th grade.
Yeah, it's really not that complicated. I'd explain it if I wasn't so terrible at explaining.
Yeah, so far it's pretty accessible. The only problem I'm having is that I don't know most of the commands. And the teacher we have is absolute trash at teaching them.
Like, right now I have to make a program that does this:
"Ask the user for an integer number. Output all the factors of that integer. The program will run until the user wishes to stop."
We never learned how to use factors and we never learned how to make a program run until users wish to stop (though I do remember him mentioning a loop command once in a lesson in passing), so I'm basically going to have to try and google my way to the answers, which feels cheap.
I think if I can figure out the loop command, I know how to get it to break off. My only real problem is the factor.

You got to do programming in grade 5? We aren't even allowed to start taking it until 11th grade.

Believe it or not, some of my classmates started in 2nd grade. They got special tutoring from someone who, back then, was one of the most renowned teachers in the country. From 6th grade onwards (when I started to take it seriously) I was pretty much the only "top" programmer in my class that wasn't tutored by her.
This might help chip, using the example you tailor make the programme to your needs.
