I have a theory, maybe it's been tested maybe it hasn't, but I'm going to push forward anyways.
I do not care about your opinions, you simply need to answer the poll if you want to participate.

These things take time man, I'm no wizard!
I didn't play KoToR, but I really enjoyed the questing and storytelling, by far the most fun experience in any mmo I've ever had in that aspect. I played at launch last year as a Marauder (Sith) but only got to 40 something because I didn't want to put more time in the game after hearing all the negative feedback about the endgame or lack of.
Lacking poll. Opinions can change; I started out in love with the game for a month or two, then that love faded. That isn't the same as "I played TOR and didn't like it". So where do I vote?
And no, I didn't play KOTOR. Your theory is obviously some smug view of how only people who can appreciate the story of KOTOR can also appreciate TOR.

Enjoyed KOTOR and enjoyed SWTOR until the developers gave up on it.
That is I enjoyed SWTOR until they decided to go free to play, dropped the game price way too significantly way faster then any game I've known and added a stupid cash shop.
They were actively working to improve it then they threw it all down the tubes and the game is a joke now.
Played SWTOR and enjoyed content up till max level.
Add that please...leveling in Swtor is the most fun I ever had in leveling something in an MMORPG.
The choices reflect the information I'm interested in, I don't care if you stopped liking it because there wasn't enough endgame content or the general QQ that goes on.
Did you play and enjoy kotor and thusly did you play and enjoy the time you spent on tor.
I enjoyed leveling in SWToR and didn't played KoToR. When i reached max lvl, there was nothing insteresting, so i quit.
You have 1,868 posts on this mess of a forum, how many times have you seen people degrade a simple question into an all out pissing contest of their useless and often mind numbing opinions.
Every thread with ToR in it degrades into a fest of bashing the game, one guy pipes up with "I hated it because of this", 6 people will jump to defend the game and another 10 will jump to defend the reasons its hated.
It wasn't being childish, it was laying out simply that I do not care what your reasons are, and I'm not interested in a debate over the quality of the game, I just wanted information.
Yes those choices do fit you, you have played both KoToR and ToR, thusly you would chose "I played KoToR and (insert like/dislike) ToR". Quite simple really.
Again, your ideas are marked by or suggestive of immaturity and lack of poise. I.E. childish. This is a chat forum. The entire purpose of a forum is for discussion. Stating you aren't interested in anyone's opinions is a non sequitur considering what you are posting and where you are posting. Let's not even go into your use of implied time with tenses and sentence structure regarding the intended meaning of the choices.
You have your data, where is your grand conclusion? Or do you have a doctoral thesis being expressed as an inner monologue that we aren't fit to experience?
"... I don't want you to play me a riff that's going to impress Joe Satriani; give me a riff that makes a kid want to go out and buy a guitar and learn to play ..." - Ozzy Osbourne
I don't fully understand why you're so completely offended by a simple disclaimer that the thread is mostly here for the poll, and not really intended for a grand discussion, but I do find it fun.
My grand conclusion? The large majority of polled users say they enjoyed both games. Compelling, I know.
I see constant negativity about the game from inside and out, I personally enjoy it a great deal so it confuses me why others don't. My theory, if you want to call it that, was along the lines that the other people out there enjoying the game are likely people who enjoy the base KotoR experience without any of the MMO aspects thrown in.
The votes say yes, mission accomplished.

I played both KOTORs.
It's not that SWTOR wasn't enjoyable per say, it is simply that there was a heavy feeling of "been there, done that" coupled with the endgame - or lack thereof- ultimately it led to a very dull experience that just didn't leave much reason to login again. I think most people here found it enjoyable in the gameplay department it's everywhere else that it suffered... in the content itself.
Played and loved KOTOR 1 & 2, but somehow TOR fell short when it came to storytelling (too many generic non-story quests I think ruined it)

The Old Republic was can be fun to a certain point, when you finish all character stories and dungeons theres nothing left to do. Biowares usual fail with no middleground dialogue is really annoying, you can either be Jesus or Satan, else you get no benefits and the free to play conditions they made...really? really?
