I guess that makes sense in the end. I prefered the hovering witch with her aoe stun, pool of death, shield and her ulti was that everyone in a certain radius got linked to you and 2 seconds later stunned if still within range (forgot her name :P)
And tryndamere when you just want raw damage and don't want to think too much.
