Yea sounding out the complex vowels when you see them written is easy, but it's hard for me to remember which letters combine to make the sounds since both ㅗ and ㅜ in the complex vowels make a w sound, so I don't remember which to use and sometimes don't remember which the second one is either xD
But if I see them written down they're easy to read.

I don't think Hanja is really used in South Korea much, I don't know for sure though. But I'm pretty sure you don't need to learn Hanja to learn Korean. Originally Posted by Asmekiel

Ah, that explains it a bit.
Korean will be hard for me to learn I think. I do have a friend that is trying to learn Japanese, but he has no interest in Korean, he think it sounds stupid
It's not like English, which everyone around you can help you with.
