I really don't get all the hate for Sphere. Ok, so the twist is a bunch of bullshit, but I found it interesting.


The Core, another movie that a lot of people pan hardcore that wasn't quite as terrible as they make it out to be.

The Core is decent, but it has a bunch of sketchy science in it. The name they use for the material the drill is made out of is also actual scientist speak for "bullshit material sci-fi made up to do something cool but physically impossible." That's right, the movie straight up took the term [I]actual scientists/I] had been using to describe whatever material a show created to explain impossible things, and used it for their bullshit material they made up to do something cool but physically impossible.
