What I don't get is why? Is there not a third shift crew there? Make them do at least some of it.

At my store, third shift usually ends up ignoring toys. They focus on "consumables" and barely have enough crew to cover that.

Having been on the male side of this, I'm torn. However, I don't know the specifics of the break-up, so I'll just say kudos for sticking to your guns. If'n you don't want to date him, you don't, and dragging it out is just more painful in the end. (Also speaking from experience.)
