I think, visually, my favorite pet was the bird you got from Blade's Edge Mountain, that you could only get by making some of the Arakkoa (that's probably waaay off) summon them, kill the summoner, then tame the pet. Which is odd, because usually summoned stuff can't be tamed.

They're called Arcane Serpents and are considered part of the serpent family. made tameable in 5.1. I got the blue one, but there is also red, purple, and the rare white one in NR.

I know which bird you're talking about, and yes, it's a very nice looking bird.
