Personally, I couldn't stand Ocarina of Time, although I'm sure some of the hate came from the absolutely retarded controller on the N64.

"Fox, get these guys off me!" in that grating voice still irks me to this day. But I agree, very enjoyable game. Graphics and voice acting were impressive for the time, gameplay was addictive and fun even though it was on rails, and it felt like a natural successor to the original StarFox on Super NES.

Although, if you're going to bring up StarFox 64 you have to ponder why Falco was such a jerk and what the deal was with Slippy's androgynous demeanor. [Warning, some NSFW language.]

I quit reading after page 4 and no Double Dragon or Contra.

Contra is fun, but I'm not sure I would classify it as one of the best games ever. It's length and difficulty leaves something to be desired (it's easily beatable in 15-20 minutes) and there is really only one weapon worth getting. Granted it's still fun, heck I still play it every now and again, but I wouldn't consider it the pinnacle of gaming.
