Personally, I find this thread to be based on nothing. Straight men have the power in the world, how can they be the insecure? Come on??

Confidence and insecurity rarely have anything to do with reality. They are tied to perception, both of the self and of others. You can be a confident loser or an insecure god. Ability, power, or lack thereof might influence confidence, but they don't determine it.
