Why does Ash' Pikachu page say its ability is static...
I don't think I've ever seen any pokemon be paralyzed from hitting it yet it absorbs lightning attacks all the time :\

It does have Static. Gen 4 seasons it was paralyzing close to everything it came into contact with, enemy wise. They just like to show that electric attacks don't work on Pikachu, unless it is a physical move, like Paul's Electabuzz using Thunder Punch on it to beat it.

I apparently defeated her without defeating her... I don't know. I killed her giant skagg mount thing. And then it was like, "yay! Now kill Leviathan!" O_o

After this, Garbodor fired another Gunk Shot, this time it hits and it also poisoned Pikachu. To Ash's luck, Pikachu's Static Ability got activated and paralyzed Garbodor after making physical contact with Pikachu.

Not seen a load of the seasons, just quite a bit of 1, a small bit of the next couple then nothing
I couldn't recall it ever paralyzing in the ones I saw though :\
Unless the reason his Pikachu is so special is because it has dual-ability hax

Abilities didn't get focus until Gen 3 seasons, when they first started. They didn't really focus on Pikachu's during battle until Gen 4 seasons.
