Unless they renamed the entire thing or got Hasbro to be involved somehow there's not much they can do.
Wonder if the actual game name would fall under anything even :\

What I mean is, behind the scenes inside their hard drives, contains all the stuff they've done. If Hasbro changes their mind (or they get a positive response, since it's not 100% definite right now), then all the info would be there.

I hope they keep going. It's nice that Lauren Faust wants to help them.

The problem with changing the characters is, you'd basically have to redo EVERYTHING. Characters of course, but then the moves sets because they're specific to those characters. Then backgrounds. You could keep the music but it probably wouldn't fit. You might as well just start from scratch.
