I associate tastes with values. If you, say, don't like a character who's main trait is niceness and use that specific trait as an argument for why you don't like them, that means you do not value niceness highly, which I CAN call you out for. Speaking to someone who's never liked that sort of thing in the first place is vastly different to speaking to someone who used to like it but got bored of it. In the former, the 'general' argument is completely irrelevant for the reasons that I mentioned before. In the latter, they're only putting themselves completely in the wrong if they decide to use the "I've grown bored of it" argument against me, because it shows that they cannot be objective enough to appreciate something that they've supposedly "grown bored of".

My hair gets weird as well when I haven't gotten a haircut in a while. My head set makes my hair stand up in some weird inverted wave and the hair on the back of my head gets curly when it gets long. I normally like really short hair, but I try to get my moneys worth when I get a hair cut, although I get them for free anyways, but during the winter it is hard enough for me to get out, what with no car.
