And yeah, I think Blizzard is making the PvP system too complicated. They are going to stumble and fall over their own rules soon.

I actually sat and debated it with my 3v3 guy (A shaman from Netherlands) and we both think it was interesting how they are balancing it now opposed to how they did in the earlier days.

First PvP gear had more stamina on it. But then you could build glass cannons. So they added Ressi. But then healing got out of control - You couldn't kill a healer, so you went to raids and got the BiS from raids and annihilated everything. Thus began the age of PvP Power.

And now, you have to have Ressi and PvP Power on all your gear if you want to PvP, ruling out a ton of customization with PvE/PvP gear, different weapon choices etc. Now it's just grind to this piece, and then you have it! Congratz! You can't really do anything with your PvP gear, because if you change just two of your set items you lose the 4 set bonus and all the ressi and pvp power and no damage can ever make up for the lack of defence now'a'days and...

*sigh*... Why can't they just let us kill other people?

Almost everyone I know has said that PvP was most balanced in Wrath, I'm a bit of a cata baby so I wouldn't know - which is a bit depressing. ;_;
Yes, they fucked up the gear badly, threw in item upgrades to boot. I expected class unbalance but wow, I was hoping it'd be fixed in 5.2 as well.

And what I hate about it is it's so easy to fix, if they would just sit down and thing about it. All classes have too much CC, which enables the healers (with CC) to heal them, which negates skill, so they can take more damage, so they can be more reckless, so they can stand in the open and deal more damage, so they get CC'd and uuuuuurgh.

Why not just say "... Maybe every class shouldn't have an interrupt. Maybe only rogues should have long stuns, maybe only mages should have counter spell. Maaaaaybe we're going a bit bonkers on the whole cooldown thing."

Personally, I would rather balance a game around the engine than the players themselves. While cooldowns really increase the skill level of the class, it's not something that makes a difference in such a way that it's shown now. It's like, every class has 4 cooldown to throw around like candy - Then does it really matter if you have them? I know I would trade my Icy Veins for 1000 extra ressi any day.

They need to bring down everything at the same time or they'll end up with a clusterfuck of the two others (CC being nerfed -> No need to keybind those -> Less skilled play and more ME ANGRY, ME SMASH KEYBOARD AND KILL / HEAL THINGS).
I really hope they'll do that for either 5.3 or at the very least 6.0. Most likely won't, but oh well.

I never really got in to pvp, but what I played of it was most fun in Wrath. Mostly because I could enjoy being a retardin back then
Also, 4.0 Hpala, no resil, 5 people smashing me, no need to cast anything. Best. Fun. Ever.
