    Printing posters of games

At work I have access to one of those expensive (thousands of euro's) printers that can print really big posters of several meters. I don't need that size but I would like to print some game related images for my game room walls.

I was wondering how big the image itself should be (in pixels) if I want to have something like a vertical orientated .. let's say 1 meter high and less in width.

For example, I was looking at the Monkey Island 1 cover and was wondering if this would be sufficient:

    This is 3000x4000 in size.

    Thank you for the help.

Hmm interesting. Strange that I can't locate a site that has a whole collection of high resolution art of games ready to print.. feels like I have to re-invent the wheel by googline art myself and then hoping it will come out alright.

Oh MAN I would pay someone some serious cash for a large, good quality poster of the original X-COM and TFTD. That would be amazing!
