TBC, I started playing only a couple of months before release and TBC has a lot of good memories: raiding, being in a nice guild and the wow experience was good. I guess I'm one of the few who really liked Karazhan!

Pretty sure the majority of players (on this forum) loved Karazhan! At least from what I've seen in favorite raid-threads ^.^

The login screen of TBC is by far the best one,atleast IMO

Agreed. I wasn't prepared (no pun intended at all) for how epic that was. I loved that log in screen music, and seeing the massive Dark Portal with the classic music reimagined with an epic real orchestra emotionally knocked me off of my chair. Those first notes in the first 2-3 seconds with the violins still fill me with tingling, the way they capture the classic melody with a kind of higher note as a variation.

It was a very weird time for me as I was 26 and my mother had just died unexpectedly leaving me with a small fortune in life insurance money. Lots of strong memories from the end of 2006.

It's a milestone, an expansion looked upon by the older players as one of the best expansions which people have fond memories for.

I've been playing since TBC and I can tell you it's not the best (in my eyes). Now then, I've never seen any other "milestone" threads here before. Why now?

Agreed, this was a FIRST, not the 2nd not the 3rd not even the 4th, but the FIRST expansion of a game that had HUGE impact in the gaming world. Not just MMO's alone.

Nobody's stopping you from making a milestone thread. Go for it. We're just all appreciating an expansion we all enjoyed. Sorry for all the jolliness in this thread, it's pretty rare for mmo champ forums.

I was never one that played during TBC times but heard many great memories from it! As I dislike running through the content now, it would've been epic if I would've been there during the time!

Those Fel Orcs were some scary bastards the first time you faced them down. Everything about Hellfire just exudes bleak desolation moreso than even Desolace could, strangely.

I wasn't really a fan of the Botanica and some of the other heroics, but plenty of great memories to be had from TBC.

That is not the same website as back then though. Blizzard started with the slightly animated backgrounds with Cataclysm.
The website you linked has probably been updated/changed since Cataclysm, to be more in line with Blizzard's current style.
